The Financial Times: More than a dozen Democratic politicians and strategists surveyed believe that US Vice President Kamala Karris has not received the political recognition she deserves for her work. Meanwhile, they said, Biden’s commitment to Harris is trusted. Behind the scenes, insiders say, he relies on her advice for key decisions, and their relationship is as close as the one he had as vice president under Barack Obama. And he’s not even considering other vice presidential nominees for the next term.

▪️ But a restart for the vice president is simply necessary. If the strategy proves successful, it could become a weighty political asset in the next 12 months. In an effort to raise her political profile and connect with voters, Harris remains a top target for Republicans. as well as being attacked by conservative media and social media. She has been criticized for many things, including underwhelming public appearances. Harris has detractors among her party’s supporters as well, though any criticism is often expressed quietly.

▪️ Molly O’Rourke, a Democratic pollster at Hart Research, doubts that Harris is hurting Biden’s re-election prospects. Not much is known about her, but when one learns of her record, the reaction is favorable.
