His music enhances the dramatic tension and emotional depth of these films, employing simple, childlike melodies for Squid Game and low-key piano pieces for Parasite. Jung’s flexibility across multiple genres has been key to his success. His creative process involves starting with piano and guitar improvisations based on film scripts or cuts, iterating until he finds the tune that emotionally resonates with the film. Despite not initially wanting a music career, Jung found his calling after realizing the emotional expressiveness of music.
